DATA REVIEW & REPORTING

Data Review

Accuracy is critical and we take every necessary precaution to guarantee accurate results and conclusions. A successful valve leak survey requires a thorough review process. We conduct a three-level data review to eliminate potential errors and provide accurate conclusions.

In-Field Review

Our test teams work hard to ensure signature and conclusion accuracy. We require that initial conclusions are always made at the time of signature collection.

It is important to verify that adequate data has been collected and a conclusion can be made before leaving the valve. If a conclusion isn’t possible, more data is necessary, and a retest is required.

Leaving the valve without accurate data may result in back-tracking and in some cases, no data. In practice, this eliminates the many uncertainties that might arise as a result of “take and run” practices.

Daily Field Review

We complete a detailed daily review of all collect data collected each. This review occurs upon the team’s return to their hotel location. The purpose of the review is to further analyze collected data and ensure result accuracy. The review often identifies incomplete test items and/or faulty data. Daily data is transferred to the main office to ensure data redundancy as well.

Junior & Senior Review

Once a survey is completedl, data continues through a two level review process. First, the Field Services Manager reviews all data and conclusions. Once this step is complete, the data is transferred to our Senior Engineer staff for final review and report preparation.

Final Report

We provide a comprehensive written report including test results, conclusions, and recommendations. Our reports set us apart from our competitors. You won’t get a simple list of leaking and tight valves from us!

You will receive a detailed analysis of your plant’s overall valve and trap health, including external observations and potential safety concerns. You will also know how your plant compares to other LDS clients and what you can do to improve immediately.

Collected field data is entered to determine the ACTUAL impact on heat rate / output losses. We provide a ranked order by loss contribution for each item. The calculated results are not numerically exact, but the order of ranking based on loss impact is accurate.
