We realize that the valve and trap leak testing process can at times seem overly complicated and time consuming. But you can rest assured that we have mastered the process. We work directly with our clients throughout the testing process to help eliminate test anxiety. We provide all of the tools and expertise necessary to make your experience easy and stress-free.
Test Preparation
Preparation is the key to success. We create an individual database and test procedure specific to each client site. It’s a tedious process. But with very little plant assistance, we manage to put it all together. When combined with our thermal analysis, it is the back bone of our service. It pre-determines each items importance to testing and potential impact on plant efficiency.
Pre & Post Outage Testing
We provide a well trained and competent staff to attend on-site testing, both pre and post outage.
We work directly with on-site personnel, including the control room and operations, to coordinate all testing activity. We acquire data on the valve, upstream and downstream of the valve, and on any other valve or trap item that might impact the acoustic emissions signal taken on the valve. As a result, we are able to identify background noises and cross talk that may affect test results.
We conduct regular safety meetings and coordinate all valve manipulations closely with plant personnel. Our testing is 100% non-destructive and we guarantee a full return to normal operation.
Reporting
We provide a comprehensive written report including test results, conclusions, and recommendations. Our reports set us apart from our competitors. You won’t get a simple list of leaking and tight valves from us! You will receive a detailed analysis of your plants overall valve and trap health, including external observations and potential safety concerns. You will also know how your plant compares to other LDS clients and what you can do to improve immediately.
